Important information before departure

Below we list some important things to know before boarding and what to pack in your bag.

Documents required

Each participant will receive a PDF containing all the useful information for boarding. The form contains a section that the parent must fill in and send back by email, or hand to our representative on the day of boarding.

Documents each participant must bring on board:

  • Valid ID document
  • Health card
  • Medical certificate for non-competitive sports
  • UISP card (provided by us, already on board)

UISP card and insurance coverage

Each participant will be automatically enrolled in UISP (Italian Union of Sport for All). The card costs €15.00, already included in the camp fee. This card entitles holders to insurance coverage for all members during sporting activities.

How to reach the boarding point

🚗

BY CAR: Travelling on the SS1 Aurelia from north or south, exit at Piombino and follow signs for the ferry terminal.

🚆

BY TRAIN: Piombino Marittima station — the ferry ticket office and piers are just a short walk away. You may need to change at Campiglia Marittima, where a Trenitalia train or bus will take you to the port.

⛴️

The meeting point for boarding is Sunday morning, by 12:00, at Piombino Marittima ferry ticket office. Our representative, wearing a Campi del Vento t-shirt, will take the children and accompany them to Elba Island.

🏠

For the return, Saturday at 11:30 at pier 8 of Piombino Marittima. Our representative will hand the children back to parents upon disembarking from the ferry.

🏝️

IF YOU ARE ALREADY ON ELBA, contact the organisation for the meeting point.

Where to meet

We meet on Sunday by 12:00 at the Stazione Marittima (ferry terminal) in Piombino, at the top of the stairs leading up from the car park, opposite the «bar Brigantino». Our staff member will accompany the children by ferry to Elba: they won't arrive by boat before 14:00, so we recommend a packed lunch.

Some tips

If you want to take photos, don't forget to bring a camera: phone use is only allowed in the evening around 8pm.

Are you a musician? You can bring your instrument if you wish!

Feel free to bring a book and a small torch for reading in the evening, and don't forget a few euros for an ice cream or postcard.

What NOT to bring

  • Fins and wetsuits
  • Trolleys or hard suitcases that can't be stowed. Use a bag or backpack instead.
